“So you’ll stay with me tonight?” She asked, a little unsure.
“Wild horses couldn’t drag me away.” He replied, placing a chaste kiss on the back of her hand.

Jack was a sailor through and through and, like most sailors whose life and livelihood depended on the whims of sea and sky, he was superstitious. Lucky Jack most certainly knew the value of luck in the navy, and over the past few voyages with Stephen, Jack had seen his good luck hold true and he had no wish to break that streak.
