Summary
As always, Stiles’ voice is a low purr, entirely sarcastic, and Derek knows before he even turns toward the sound that Stiles will be grinning at him.
He is.
He’s wearing dark skinny jeans today and, although they have what Derek has to assume to be “fashionable” holes down the front and are tight enough to look almost dangerous, they are at least warmer than the booty shorts Derek usually finds him in. Of course the thin, white, plunging v-neck t-shirt he’s wearing probably does nothing against the New York December chill.
“Stiles,” Derek grunts, reaching for the cuffs he keeps at his back pocket. “Seriously. You know I’m a cop.”
Or: Derek is a cop, Stiles is a prostitue, they come together to save some kids.

“We can’t just leave him here to die.”
“He’s an emissary, Scott.” Derek tried to make his tone empathetic, but Scott’s tendency to fight back on everything always grated on his nerves. “His pack is gone, he won’t survive more than a day or two either way.”
“Then we should stay with him.”
Derek sighed as he studied the man for a moment; he was too pale against the fur rim of his hood, almost grey from lying out in the snow, and his cloak was stained with dark dried blood around a protruding arrow shaft. It was unlikely he would even last the night. They would probably be able to carry on in the morning with little time lost, if any.
It wasn’t a horrible idea, Derek decided reluctantly. They hadn’t been able to set up a real camp for a few weeks in the open foothills, and they were all on edge from sleeping in exposed areas. A defensible place to sleep would be good for them, even if they were surrounded by death. They would be able to give the pack proper burials, at the very least.
“Fine. One night,” Derek relented, already moving away to check on Isaac. “He’s your responsibility.”

Eric Bittle is the director of the City of Samwell's Parks and Recreation department. He loves everything about his job, including overseeing the city's municipal ice rink, where generations of kids have learned to skate. Unfortunately, a citywide budget crisis has put Eric's proposed rink renovations on hold, and out-of-town auditor Jack Zimmermann is insistent that the best course of action would be to shut it down entirely. Too bad Eric isn't willing to give up his rink without a fight. He's got a plan. And he may just melt the heart of Samwell's iciest auditor along the way.
