Summary
Here I am suddenly very aware of the fact that the last person that was hiding things for me went off to Europe and never returned. Which is a very bleak thought and I refuse to let my mind go there. The next few hours will be tough enough, what with last night's bad decisions catching up with me, so the last thing I need is to dwell on my tragic backstory. It's just upsetting. Everything about it is - including, but not limited to, the fact I was not invited.
I would have been a great minion and uncle Quentin was and remains the worst for not recognizing my potential.
Maybe if they did bring me along he wouldn't currently be the wizard equivalent of Schrödinger’s cat - both dead and alive until he's conclusively proven one or the other.
"Don't you have questions you're supposed to be asking me?" I say, suddenly needing a distraction from all the fun little tangents my mind seems to be setting off on this fine morning.
And agent Carter does have some questions.

Summary
[From Tumblr]: Good cop bad cop but Jim Gordon (the good cop) is passed out from blood loss and exhaustion and Batman (the obvious bad cop) bundles everyone involved (including his kids) into a corner booth at a 24 hour diner and proceeds to interrogate the suspect over shitty diner coffee and the sounds of his kids force feeding Commissioner Gordon apple pie and french fries.
It's the most intimidating interrogation that has ever taken place in Gotham.
(or, the one where May’s Diner has seen everything Gotham has to offer at night. almost everything, at least)

“Yes, right, you deserve rest,” Galen interrupted him. His tone had gone from kind to patronising. “How would you like to rest more comfortably tonight, Merlin?”
“Sorry?”
Galen gave him a pitying look. “I mean that I would enjoy your company tonight, Merlin. Surely the prince hasn’t tired you out completely.”
It took a moment before Merlin understood what he meant. He tore his wrist out of the other man’s grip and took a step back, trying to keep the horrified expression off his face.
“I don’t serve Arthur in that way, nor would I someone else.”Or
A visiting noble propositions to Merlin and does not take Merlin’s rejection well. But Lord Galen’s displeasure pales compared to Arthur’s fury.

Summary
Arthur wasn’t sure what this charm would do, if anything, but he’d held it in his hands, and he’d pressed it to his lips, and he’d willed all of his strength and protection and fervent desire for Merlin to be okay into the metal.
He’d broken his father’s laws for Merlin, Uther’s one cardinal rule, and that had to count for something. Arthur just wasn’t sure what.

Arthur notices the cuts and bruises on Merlin’s skin and assumes the worst. Out of options, he turns to magic for help.
