“They take it out of commission. Better to scrap it for parts and get rid of a liability.”
A malfunctioning tool. Erens heart was racing. This must be the reason the captain had been so frightening and serious when Eren had first come in. Had he thought he’d tried to transform on purpose?
“I understand, Sir.” Eren spoke up.
“Do you?” Levi raised an eyebrow, “Because I've heard about your temper in the 104th so I feel I should make myself crystal clear.” he leant closer to Eren and practically hissed his next words,
“You're a loaded gun, not a human, so stop behaving like one.”

The bottle episode, almost canon fic where everyone is stuck in the castle due to a crazy storm, Eren is a little psycho who can't function without sunlight and Levi gets increasingly desperate to keep him in line. They also play a lot of stupid games.

Summary
Titan is a world of reinvention and chaos; civilizations rise and are destroyed by monstrous-yet-humanoid creatures that are born from the soil. Over 100 years ago humans were said to have triumphed over the 'Demons' that threatened their development. No one knows much about the Demons, why they appear, or even how they appear.
Levi Ackerman - underground dweller, evacuation-survivor, Demon-afflicted Legion soldier - tries to live a normal life after the death of his friends and a life-altering injury. After rekindling his connection with the Yeager family he finds himself in the midst of a Legion secret and a Titan myth.
His 'affliction', the thorn in his side, turns out to be far more necessary and far less uncommon than he thought.

Summary
They claimed to have won the war, but Levi knew that was bullshit. There was nothing satisfying, or even comforting, about what had happened after Trost.
So they were killing the titans more easily than they ever had before. So they'd pushed the titans out of Wall Maria. So they were finally pushing the titans back, reclaiming what was theirs by right.
None of that changed what Levi knew, and what Levi knew changed everything. He couldn't fight, not like this, and he couldn't retire, not like this.
So he cleaned.

By the time Eren is seventeen, he's a mess. He gets into fights, therapy just pisses him off, and he's sick and tired of endless dreams about dying friends. He's a got a family, but he remembers a different family, and a mother who died and he remembers failing, over and over again, to save people.
And then one of those people turns up in Eren's hometown, and nothing can ever be the same again.

Summary
He needn't have worried. The small one was strong.
He sees the human many more times since then. It seems as if the herd doesn't venture out without it. He wonders if that one is the pack-leader. It seems logical, but humans are not always creatures of logic.
He forces back memories of that one, and continues to shadow the herd whenever it ventures out. He makes a habit of waiting in the small grouping of trees near the gate so as not to miss one of their outings. Eventually he learns to distinguish the small one from the others even before it takes to the air, and he feels proud of this accomplishment.
Months later, only hours after the humans had returned behind their walls, everything changes.
(In which Eren is not a human that can turn into a Titan, but a Titan that can turn into a human.)
