In the other place, this dark plane between life and death, she’s pulled hard into all of them at the same time, so hard, she feels the tether snap a bit, the little knot in the center that was the most of her pulled too taut, so small it disappears.

“Anyway, I had been thinking… What with you having to dance the first dance of the Yule Ball—”
“Don’t remind me...” You grumble.
“—With you having to dance the first dance—” Sebastian repeats, firmer, because he can be a right git like that sometimes. “I can only imagine you’re going to want to make sure you get it just right, just like the competition itself, am I right?”
“...I guess…” You agree, unsure as to where he’s going with all this.
“Great. Because quite frankly, I’d rather not make a fool of myself at this dance either. And well, let’s face it, Professor Weasley’s dance lessons weren’t exactly all that enlightening. Hence, the proposition—” Sebastian holds his arms out wide. “Dance Practice.”

Hogwarts has been chosen to host the Triwizard Tournament, and you just so happen to be chosen as Hogwarts' Champion. This also happens to mean that you will be the one to open the first dance for the Yule Ball. Problem being, your dancing skills are... not quite up to code. So it's a good thing Sebastian has jumped in to offer up some dance practice for the two of you before the big day...

Professor Sharp’s voice had slowly started to fade into the background. Truth be told, you had barely taken in half of what he had just said. Instead your brain had fallen into a descending spiral of pure panic just after Ominis had uttered those damn words.
‘The Love Potion, sir.’
You couldn’t even bring yourself to look over in Sebastian’s direction, to see if he had put the pieces together as you had. There was nothing you could but go through with the notions of the class. Read the recipe book. Prepare the ingredients required. Enter them into the cauldron as needed. Carefully watch over the liquid bubbling within. Rather annoyingly, you know you’ve done it right when a fresh wave of ‘Eau De Sebastian’ washes over you, looking perhaps a tad psychopathic as you glare down at the pretty pink liquid before you.

Or, the fic where the lesson for todays potion's class is on Amortentia, and both the MC and Sebastian just so happen to smell each other.

Sebsatian’s hand bumps against yours, pinkie fingers brushing together. You don’t glance down at the contact — and neither does Sebastian. It just goes unspoken between you as his hand reaches for yours in the space between you, hand sliding over your hand, fingers dipping into the gaps between yours. They fit almost a little too well.

With a night of restless sleep ahead of you, you decide the best course of action would be to escape the confines of the castle for an uneventful night out in the Scottish Highlands to gather your thoughts.
But the night has other plans in mind. And it seems 'Uneventful' and 'Sebastian Sallow' don't exactly go hand in hand...

Inej needs a powerful man dead. Kaz, busy conducting 'renovations' across the West Stave and feuding with famous stage actors, is glad to have the opportunity to eliminate a threat.

“Well,” Kaz grimaced and looked over his shoulder before facing her. “A while ago, I ran an insurance scam. It was a long one. Took me a few months and it required a lot of backup,” he admitted. Inej nodded. “Um, to make it work… I needed a spouse…” he said slowly. Inej’s brows raised.
“Kaz…Are you already married?”
“I had forged it,” he said, almost defensively. “It’s forged. The whole thing was forged, but apparently I did a good job because the idiots at the courthouse say it is legally binding.”
Part of Inej wanted to laugh. This could only happen to them. She squeezed Kaz’s fingers.
“Just sign some divorce papers then.”
“That’s the issue.”
“Is she dead? You don’t need to worry about it if she’s dead, Kaz.”
“No. Nobody is dead…unfortunately,” Kaz sighed and ran a hand over his face. “It’s just going to be a pain in the ass.”
Inej felt the first hint of worry climb in her chest.
“….who did you marry?”
Kaz grimaced.
"Take a guess."
Or
Kaz and Inej are on a time crunch to get married. Unfortunately, Kaz's forgery skills from a fake marriage require divorce papers and Jesper just isn't sure he's willing to put their fake-kids through that.
