“Hey,” Adam murmured, placing a finger under Shiro’s chin and turning his head so that he couldn’t avoid meeting the other’s eyes. There was no semblance of doubt, of disgust, of hatred in Adam’s amber gaze. “Whatever they did to you, Kashi… It wasn’t your fault.”

Summary
In this series, Keith uses ASL as a primary language, can lipread but its hard doesn't prefer it. He's profoundly Deaf in one ear and severely Deaf in the other. He has hearing aids to help him lipread when he's out and about but he prefers to not wear them since they're overstimulating.
Lance is hearing and learning ASL for Keith and wants to learn about Deaf culture.
Shiro is married to Adam who is HoH and knows ASL, so they adopted Keith when he was younger.
As for requests for this series, please leave a comment! I don't feel comfortable writing Keith "getting his hearing back" or him getting cochlear implants! Any other Deaf Keith ideas would be great!

A puff of air was blown into his hair which he could concur was a yawn after feeling many of them every morning. He tried to rest his eyes once again but felt small repetitive taps on his arm, a little, "Time to wake up…" message that Lance did every morning.

When he felt a phantom loose tooth suddenly tugged out, he wondered if his soulmate’s parents bribed him with sweets the way that Lance’s did.
Keith tried not to think about his soulmate. A soulmate was just another person who would leave an aching hole in his chest when they left. When he felt scraped knees that weren’t his, or a loose tooth yanked free, he tried to pretend he didn’t feel it. He tried to pretend he didn’t have a soulmate at all."
voltron au where soulmates can feel each other's pain, and Keith and Lance have to figure out how to manage that in the middle of an ongoing intergalactic war. surely this will go smoothly
