The last few words hung in the air between them for a bit too long, and Shane noticed the significant look his parents shared. Summary

All because he refuses to placate Alphas with half-truths and lies, and instead always speaks his mind, especially when the lives of others are on the line because of foolish pride.

Summary
Shane Hollander is 18 years old and a beta when he first competes at World Juniors in Saskatchewan. Shane's only expectation is to bring home gold. Instead, Shane unexpectedly presents as an omega during the gold medal game against Russia. Luckily, his rival Ilya Rozanov is there to help Shane, which is a good thing because Shane knows nothing about being an omega. Rozanov kindly offers to extend his stay to help Shane through his first heat.
Only months later, Shane discovers that he came home with a whole lot more than a silver medal and an unwanted new designation. Somehow he's carrying the baby of a man who lives on the other side of the world. A man who never offered his phone number and doesn't have any social media to speak of.
Somehow Shane is going to have to find a way to explain why he's suddenly pulling out of the 2009 draft, come to terms with giving up hockey and caring for a baby completely alone. All while desperately wishing he could share the joys of first smiles and the stress of sleepless nights with the alpha he's never quite been able to forget.

Ilya Rozanov was more than familiar with the rules the MLH had for unmated alphas - all in the name of some parity bullshit - but that didn't mean he enjoyed following them. On a whim, he decided to reach out to the matchmaking service Svetlana had mentioned.
He doubted it was going to work, but maybe if he found a nice, quiet omega to help him relieve a bit of stress - and better yet, if they agreed to let him mate them - the league would ease up on their rules.

Summary
