As soon as his coaching contract was signed, they dropped the other bombshell on him.
Ilya Rozanov was interested in playing for Ottawa. Apparently his contract with Boston was up and instead of sticking with his team and getting them another Stanley, which he absolutely could do, everyone expected him to do it, he was looking elsewhere.
In fact, unless everyone in MHL management had suddenly gotten better at not gossiping like little school girls, Ottawa was the only team Rozanov had approached.

Summary
Jason Todd Green Lantern AU set after Jason first came back from the dead. Will probably end up blurring the lines between his pre and post-death characterisations since I wanted to explore how things might have gone differently if he was allowed to recover from his injuries and trauma more gradually with a decent support system around him.
Please don't ask me where in canon continuity this takes place. Right now it's in some strange nebulous Lost Days-era yet post-Green Lantern Rebirth purgatory. My only justification is I wanted Kyle in this more than I wanted the timeline to make sense.
