Those strange, dark eyes soften a little. “It’s my job,” he says simply.
Still. Izuku never got to thank him, the first time.
Izuku gets hit by a quirk that de-ages him to seven years old, and relearns what it means to be taken care of.

Neuvillette thinks of his heat as a burden that he must hide and carry alone. He finds himself struggling to keep his secret while sheltered by Duke Wriothesley.
Meanwhile, Wriothesley just wants to get through the weirdest week of his life without going irreversibly insane.

Summary
They sipped drinks, laughed, and hands wandered in the dark corner of the tavern. Kaeya could smell the drink on her breath, and was sure if he tilted her head to kiss he'd be able to taste it on her tongue as well.
He reached forward again towards his drink, only to find his hand missed the glass, landing a few inches to the side of it. He blinked before laughing it off and reaching again.
Something felt… off.
All at once it was as if he was noticing a heavy weight in his brain. He felt sluggish, and when he tried to focus on anything specific in the room everything else around it shifted, tilting and bobbing as if he were on a ship instead of a steady chair. He had to take care to grip the drink tightly so it wouldn’t slip out of his hand as he brought it back to his lips, not letting his moment of concern show on his face.
He took a long slow drink, testing the taste but not finding anything in it to be off, nor did it smell any different. But something definitely wasn't right.

When the hydro sovereign arrives in Liyue, Zhongli suspects that carrying out judgment isn’t the only reason he has come. After all, he could have sought out any other archon first, but he had come to him, the only dragon beside Neuvillette who still roamed Teyvat. Going off a hunch, Zhongli decides to make him an offer: He’ll teach him how to transform into a dragon. What he asks for in exchange is that his trial will take place in Liyue, only between the two of them.
Neuvillette, who has lived in the body of a human his entire life, would do anything to finally find his true form; even spend a considerable amount of time with a man he deeply mistrusts.

My favorite Zhonglette fic ever. The amount of worldbuilding and lore and thought put into this fic about dragons, and Teyvat, and Zhongli… We are given crumbs to work with in terms of lore, at least at this point in Genshin’s storyline, and WatersOfLiyue works miracles with it. Not to mention the character portrayals, the cultural representation (lots of fun little traditional Chinese tidbits), the sheer emotion. I would recommend this fic to people who haven’t even played Genshin Impact. This one is just incredible. Chapter 9 especially owns my entire soul. This is one of those fics where I genuinely don’t have the words to express how well written it is. I could go on and on and on about each and every detail that I enjoy.

Genuinely my favorite Kavaitham fic ever written. There’s intermittent flashbacks to the Akademiya and Kaveh’s childhood. Every single Sumeru character is represented, and represented well. The cultural representation in this fic is insane, on top of incredible characterization. The dialogue feels so real, like a conversation I could have with someone right now. Kaveh and AlHaitham dancing around each other and learning to love again is balanced so perfectly that it feels fragile. There’s also deaf AlHaitham… I think this is the Kavaitham fic. Period. You can't convince me nereno doesn't write for Hoyo...
