“You won’t. And Hydra won’t ever get near you again.” Steve says it like a spell, like a geas, like he’s gonna bend the fabric of the universe to his will. It’s a vow, binding as anything ever said in front of a priest. “I will raze the Goddamn Earth until Hydra ain’t so much as a Goddamn smear.”
Bucky breathes out, slow and controlled. “I want to believe that.”
Steve leans in and presses chapped lips to the centre of Bucky’s brow. “Believe me.”
***Nine months on the tundra. Nine months, in a world turning, churning, transformed. Nine months with the wolves.
Steve and Bucky, in Greenland. The Winter Soldier was never permitted to sleep, but maybe Bucky Barnes can rest, here, at the edge of the world. Steve Rogers cannot conjure healing magic, but he can shift his shape, and that might be the next best thing.

It’s been days since Daryl and his people witnessed Rick sacrifice himself, sending a massive horde of walkers into the rushing rapids of the river below. There was one arm wrapped around his blood-soaked middle, the glint of his Colt Python in the harsh sunlight, walkers ambling toward him in all their ravenous hunger, and then… nothing.
Rick was consumed. Not by the dead, but by a bursting plume of smoke and the strong current beneath him.
QUIET LIGHT, a story of Daryl's life after Rick blows up the bridge and disappears.
Set during the 5-6 year time gap in season 9. Largely canon-compliant with the exception of some personal headcanons. This story will heavily describe the grief/mourning process and symptoms of PTSD. Reader discretion is advised.

The only solace came in knowing that he and Bucky were more or less autonomous. Well, perhaps Bucky less so, but his own parole didn't seem to deter him from committing crimes as if it were nothing. And he was doing it all for Sam. Or for the shield most likely.

After witnessing Nico's execution, Sam's own PTSD is badly triggered, leaving him unable to chase down John Walker. Bucky brings Sam to safety and tries to take care of him as he recovers. Riga may be falling into chaos, but Bucky refuses to let it take Sam down with it.

Bucky is helping Sam investigate a mysterious case of deaths that may involve a rogue HYDRA agent. So Bucky decides to visit Zemo on The Raft, to see if he knows anything.
The problem?
General Ross is convinced Bucky is still a weapon, and when Zemo escapes, Bucky is blamed despite the fact he knows nothing about it.
Now Bucky is a wanted man, and he and his cat Alpine are on the run from Ross and the USMC, while Sam attempts to run interference. All this while frantically looking for Zemo, who may be in trouble... or may be behind all the trouble.*
My attempt at an organic post-canon slow burn casefic for Bucky/Zemo.

Geralt only notices the quiet when his contact sits back from the table, their discussion complete. The woman's focus is no longer on the witcher – her attention's been caught the same as the rest of the folks in the great hall. Geralt's nostrils flare as he scents the air; something familiar-and-yet-different that he had smelled on entering the hall is suddenly so much stronger than the smell of sweat and warm bodies and alcohol, and then his ears finally register the voice, familiar and yet different as the scent.
The bard had clearly been singing for a while, and with the ringing tones that spoke of words worn smooth with almost prayerful repetition, he sings of the sky and darkness and heartbreak. As he reaches the climax of the chorus, Geralt closes his eyes, turns to face the bard, and opens his eyes on a sight he hasn't seen for... months. Has it been a year yet?
...
Perhaps Jaskier will give him the chance to apologize.
