Sometimes being a hero could lead to some pretty intense situations, like this one time when Deku nearly shattered his whole arm. Or when Bakugou got a little to heated in a fight and almost blew up the ground level of all the buildings near him. But even after that recovery time and time of feeling guilty for nearly putting innocent in danger, the two still strived to be the best hero's they could.

Izuku never meant for it to turn out this way, never even thought it could've turned out this way. But apparently, all it took was a chance encounter at two A.M in the morning, and the universe's decision to laugh in his face. So now Katsuki's hand is clamping down on his, eyes tracking the telltale scars and red wetness trailing over Izuku's palms.
"The fuck is this?" Katsuki says, eyebrows furrowing, eyes narrowed.
He reaches up, tracking the source of red, and pulls back Izuku's sleeve.
[AU where Izuku never receives One for All, never goes to UA, and never finds a way to be the hero he knows he's meant to be. Katsuki finds this out in just the nick of time.]

Truthfully, Izuku always found himself shying out of prolonged exposure to his Aunt and Uncle’s company. While he liked them, he found avoidance best protected him from topics of conversation he would rather not be part of. Specifically, Izuku didn’t know what he would say if the discourse ever turned towards himself and his frayed relationship with their own explosive son.
