I never thought I'd have one, but this is absolutely my favorite ABO fic. It has this green flag energy that's just so realistic and reasonable and well thought out by the author!! The plot revolves around a misunderstanding but the misunderstanding is completely believable and definitely would happen in real life, and both characters are such green flags about it!!!!! I just love the vibes of this fic so much 💖

Hi, sorry, I'm just gonna bookmark this whole series too because it's not just the main fic that's good---the two postludes are everything. Beautiful A. F. This is the kind of fic I get defensive about when a commenter on Youtube disses the writing quality of fanfic.
The thing about the two postludes is that their lives after are not great and well and perfect. There's issues explored: lack of income, PTSD, suicidal depression, alcoholism, adjusting to/living with disabilities, homophobia. But holy. Frick. Because these two postludes, at the same time, are not soul-crushing. At all. They are so, so, so hopeful. So happy. Komodobits creates a gorgeously hopeful future, a crying-of-joy happy ending (for real I really did cry, of joy, like five times!), and yet also manages to portray and explore all the not-ideal parts, the sad parts, at the same time. Like a happily-ever-after but with so many real issues so that it's believable and thus really, actually, inspires hope. It is wonderfully done. I would rec this to people regardless of fandom.

Dean walks into his local bank one day and notices that someone has filled the old gumball machine with these tiny, wiggling, sentient angels in individual plastic packaging. Deeply concerned about their air supply and the fact that they're trapped there in the sun, he starts pumping in quarters to rescue them. This is worse than leaving a dog in an overheating car.
Now he's got forty of the little guys running all over his house, and god knows how many others might be trapped and dying all over the city.

I binged this in three days. I have never before read such a vivid image of military combat, and of what life after is like for veterans/veterans who come back with disabilities. The details go down to the exact times of first gunshot, the specific companies and platoons involved, the different moments of each battle, number of casualties, tactical maneuvers, duties of each position, models of weapons used. And also, details of what life is like after discharge for some veterans, with mentions of every coffee cup that takes an effort to move. It holds respect while dealing with deep issues, has brilliantly creative descriptions/lines, and the plot is original and so frickin' sad. Happy ending, certainly, but so frickin' sad. And it's better for it.
Ninety One Whiskey, komodobits, 2016. This fic deserves to be remembered.

I like how the author dealt with wwx's food issues. Some things were pointed out to me: for one, I originally passed off the peanut scene in the first episode as insignificant enough to not be included in any fic. And I never thought about something similar to the hiding food scene occurring (edit: months later, i am so grateful to this fic for educating me a bit more.) The bone scenes were horribly wonderful. Finely characterized, full of good details.
