“Uh, yeah. We just met. Wait, did he lie to me?” Shane asks, looking back over his shoulder where Ilya is now standing next to a short but very muscular woman with long black hair. “What does he play?”
Hayden stops, so Shane does too.
“You don’t know who that was?”
Shane makes a face that says ‘no shit’, and waits for an answer.
“Dude. You are so innocent. Ilya Rozanov, ‘Russia’s Greatest Love Machine’?” Hayden says, like it’s obvious.
Shane looks at him blankly, and then Hayden laughs. Not like, a chuckle. He full on cackles, bending over like he can’t even contain it. “Man, he’s like prolific.”
“At what?” Shane snaps, because he’s getting really sick of not being in on the joke.
“He’s a porn star, man.”
“A-” Shane says, swallowing thickly. “What?”

Eddie teaches at an MMA gym to make ends meet in LA while he waits to start the Fire Academy. Meanwhile, Buck needs an outlet that isn’t random hookups so he decides to give MMA lessons a try. Buck hates Eddie immediately, but he isn’t sure if it’s the way he’s so horribly perfect or if it’s the way he nitpicks and constantly critiques everything Buck does in the gym. Maybe Buck didn’t intend to goad the guy into a rough, dirty hook up in the empty gym, but he isn’t exactly complaining either. When they’re alone, Eddie can’t stop himself from peppering kisses to Buck’s lips and his cheeks and his forehead as Buck giggles and pretends to try and duck. Under the dinner table every night, Eddie will hook his foot around Buck’s ankle and make Buck duck his head into a flushed smile. And Eddie is always, always holding Buck’s hand—running errands and in their own bed and at the grocery store and across the console while Buck’s driving them to work.
Maybe he’s just in the honeymoon stage. Or maybe this is how he’ll always feel—like every second he’s not touching Buck is a second wasted.

Three months after Buck moves out and two days after Buck realizes he’s in love, Eddie gets badly injured on the job. Buck unofficially moves back in to look after him.
