“you’re a king, for god’s sake! you should know better when and when not to do ridiculous things!” there he was, face red as he fumed and went on about the king’s dumbassery, his voice louder, pitch higher than before. the angry lit in his eyes was no different when he would face a gravely wounded beomgyu after a hard-fought battle.
in beomgyu’s defense, he did try his best to take in the younger’s words and reflect on his actions, but that didn’t last long when his sight landed on the elf’s plump red lips, parting every now and then as he continued on with his rambling. it looked so inviting, so kissable. beomgyu wondered if he tastes the same way he smelled; strawberries and vanilla.
god, he was beyond saving.
king beomgyu nearly offed himself after a nasty snake bite. the court mage was having none of it.

“You know you never actually taught me yet, hyung. So I still don’t know how to dance.”
Beomgyu giggles at that, hands finding a hold on Taehyun’s wrists. He guides Taehyun’s hands to his waist, rests them on top of his hips.
Beomgyu lets go and slings his arms around Taehyun’s shoulders, and Taehyun can’t move.
“Just keep your hold on me.”, Beomgyu says softly. “And follow my lead.”
Taehyun doesn’t have a second to prepare before Beomgyu whisks them away to the dance floor.

Instantly, Beomgyu looked up from what he was doing to see Taehyun, finally awake, shuffling into the kitchen and looking very much hungover. The younger had on his regular t-shirt and shorts, but Beomgyu could barely see his body for the blanket that was wrapped tightly around his shoulders, trailing down to his feet as he held onto it tightly with his fists. His silver hair, normally neat and tidy, was a complete fluffy mess, sticking up in all directions, and his face was turned into a slight pout as he surveyed the kitchen with blurry eyes. He looked very disoriented to say the least, and Beomgyu couldn't help but smile.
It wasn't everyday you got to see Kang Taehyun looking like a lost frazzled baby, and Beomgyu was here for it.
“Well, well, well, good morning, how are we today?” Beomgyu asked, as Taehyun took another few wobbly steps closer, still swaddled in blankets.
_________All Choi Beomgyu wanted was to make a hangover smoothie for his favourite maknae. However, Kang Taehyun had different ideas.
