    Summary

    Toad stabs himself where he stabbed Rabbit.

    (The first chapter can be read as a standalone if you're just here for the whump/blood/angst and don't want any comfort with that. Then in chapter two and onwards...)

    Rabbit discovers him unconscious and bleeding, throwing Rabbit off guard. He gets Toad to a hospital, where Toad gathers the courage to be more honest with Rabbit this time.

    (Another Note: I started posting this before the Christmas special came out, but this year I think I'll have a way to retroactively incorporate it.)

    This was it. He couldn't take any more damage, his body was too broken down. This would be his heroic finale that he deserved. A prideful and honorable death for his previous sufferings at the hand of the Krang.

    Leo accepted this as a fact. This was the end, he was going to die here by the very thing he hates most. He shouldn't be as content as he is with this fate.

    He shut his eyes, a blatant display of resignation. Leo didn't care how brutal or horrific his death will be because he did it for his brothers, for his friends, his home. Nothing else mattered to him.

    A bright smile came to him, an image of his younger brother. Cruel of his mind, to conjure up displays of his loved ones at his very last moments.

    "It took you long enough..." Leo gasped brokenly, a wet chuckle escaping him as he said his last words to the Krang.

    Giving them the last bit of satisfaction in knowing that they successfully managed to break him and shatter his resolve. It was almost to mock them in a way.

    "Leo!"

    After all this time, and Wade still thinks there’s hope for the two of them. Wade still can’t see that Peter’s guilt is bigger than anything else in his life.

    Peter is going to ruin this. He's going to deform the malleability of something that started years ago when Peter knew nothing but death.

    Maybe, simply, Peter is not meant for anything more than that.

    Maybe Wade is just wasting his time, and the softness between them was never meant to go anywhere but here, to this moment, where Spider-Man decimates it.

    The thought of how much this is going to hurt fills him up to the tips of his ears.

    Having time off from missions to laze around and catch up on Dog Cops was always something Clint enjoyed. Not so much, however, due to being sick as a dog after a minor mishap on a routine mission. At least Steve and Lucky are warm and don't mind sharing the couch with a rather cuddly archer. Also, Steve makes a soup to die for.
