Summary
Seungmin steps outside and places the bowls down carefully in front of the black cat. As soon as the bowl touches the ground, the cat dives in, eating ferociously. Seungmin watches it for a moment, a small, involuntary giggle escaping his lips at the sight.
The cat finishes eating and looks up at him, its eyes wide and bright. Seungmin reaches out a hand tentatively, and the cat sniffs it before rubbing its head against his fingers. And when Seungmin stands up, it meows before it rubs his legs with force.
"Woah, calm down," he says, startled. The cat seems to ignore him, continuing to rub against his legs. "You're craving affection, huh? How long have you been out there?"
OR: After a fight, Minho disappears. Right after, a black cat makes itself at home in Seungmin's broken heart.

Summary
“Couldn’t sleep over there,” Seungmin explains, turning onto his side to look at Changbin. Without the day’s makeup, he looks so sweet and soft. No sharp angles; just gentle curves. “I knew you wouldn’t mind it.”
Changbin frowns. “What if I do mind it? You’re never awake by the time I get home to ask me how I feel.”
“If you minded, you would have woken me up and kicked me out a long time ago.” Seungmin is confident in this. He has every right to be. He’s correct. “But you haven’t. You let me do this every time.”
Changbin sighs. It’s not hard to see right through him; much easier, even, for someone like Seungmin, who notices things about others almost as much as he does. Changbin carries his fondness like an open book, with inside jokes and nagging remarks doodled into the margins of the pages. “Yeah.”

seungmin once said he sleeps better in changbin's bed because it smells like him. changbin maybe doesn't realize the cure to his own insomnia is sleeping next to seungmin.

Summary
“Tell me about your exes. Who hurt you?” Seungmin asks.
Chan looks up then, his mouth slightly parted. “What?”
“I can tell you’re guarded. Someone as handsome as you shouldn’t get so flustered whenever you receive a compliment, so someone in your life had to have made you feel like you weren’t.” Seungmin says.
Chan normally would feel attacked. Normally, he would scoff and shrug it off and feign confidence. But there’s no bite to Seungmin’s words. His tone was soft and even like he genuinely wanted to understand.
“Is that why you’ve been taking things super slow?” Chan asks lightly.
Seungmin laughs, “Maybe, now stop avoiding the question.”
Chan sighs, his smile falls. “It’s the past, I’m better now.”
Seungmin nods. Chan looks at him, he looks disappointed. Almost sad. Chan’s heart beats harder in his chest, his lip starts to tremble and he has to look up to stop the tears from falling. “I just, I have a hard time talking about it.”
OR; Chan goes through a journey of healing from his abusive ex boyfriends. He meets Seungmin and learns how to love and be loved.

Summary
The inside of the bakery is as cosy as it looks. It smells like baked goods and hot chocolate with a hint of coffee and the lights bathe the room in a warm orange. The shop is warm in contrast to the outside but it’s the nice kind that makes you feel protected. Hyunjin immediately feels at home.
Cute boy returns soon after with whole box full of cupcakes. They all have different coloured frostings and sprinkles and Hyunjin thinks that his jaw probably just dropped to the floor. ‘You can choose whichever you like.’ The boy goes on to talk about the different flavours but Hyunjin can’t really concentrate anymore. He takes a cupcake with soft pink frosting and rainbow coloured sprinkles and smiles. Cute boy stops talking. ‘I like this one. It reminds me of you.’ Hyunjin gives him a bright smile.
A light blush spreads over cute boy’s cheeks and Hyunjin feels a little accomplished.

Seungmin thinks they’re sweet to be so mindful of him, but somewhere along the line he thinks there’s been a miscommunication. Because they treat Seungmin just like they treat each other. Which is fine, of course, he doesn’t want any special attention. But there are things that come with being a dog hybrid. He’s a person, yes, but he has different instincts than a normal human. Different wants. By being so… cautious about not making Seungmin feel singled out, he doesn’t really get to explore that part of himself. It’s been years since they’ve known each other, so it’s not like it’s going to change now.

Seungmin chuckles as Minho gets both hands on his legs again and takes a step back, ready to carry him to the bedroom.
Then, he sees them.
Three pairs of piercing eyes staring at them from all the way down on the floor, unhappy tails wagging with fervor. Minho's cats sit in a perfect line that blocks the way to the room, and their stance tells him they won't be budging, even if he says please and thank you. Before Minho can move another inch, Seungmin stops him with a hand on his wrist.
"Um," Seungmin hums, unnerved by the staring down he's receiving, "Your cats. They— they're… glaring at us?"
Or: In order to date Minho, Seungmin has to receive the approval of the Big Three: Soonie, Doongie, and Dori. Winning a cat over isn't as easy as he thinks.
