    Summary

    Yuna had secrets.
Secrets that could get her killed.
She loved hockey. That wasn’t the secret. Everyone knew she was a fan of good hockey. She was even more a fan of great hockey.

Which is why if she WASN’T the mother of Canada’s golden boy her favourite player wouldn’t be Shane Hollander.

    No, it wouldn’t be him.

    It would be Ilya Rozanov

    Summary

The ash from the end of his cigarette missed the ashtray and landed on his arm. It stung, enough to drag his attention back to the present. He brushed the gray flecks from his arm, but paused, marvelling at the sting it left behind. It felt like control. He stared at the cigarette, slowly burning out in his hand.

Taking a deep breath, steeling himself for the impending pain, he quickly jabbed the hot cherry into the meat of his arm.

    ----
Or, what if Ilya had another reason for loving cigarettes? It gets worse before it gets better (as with all mental health).

    Summary

After years of not seeing each other, Shane and Ilya meet again at the Olympics. And beneath the weight of medals and the pressure to perform, they begin to realise that maybe the most dangerous thing isn’t losing - but remembering what they once believed was over and forgotten.

or, in which disciplined hockey prodigy Shane Hollander and guarded Russian figure skater Ilya Rozanov are forced to confront who they almost were... to each other. The ice holds memory, and some things refuse to stay frozen - because maybe, just maybe, they're not yet done with each other after all.
