She cannot, because Lucy and she were never family. They were only friends, and worst of all, it would mean that Mina’s sorrow runs too deep—that it breaches the acceptable bounds of feminine grief.

Actions, of course, Heather thinks to herself. Invite someone to your group so they feel seen, only to treat them like shit because you’re doing the right thing in your mind.
According to this philosophy, Heather is, in fact, a horrible person. She’s done many people wrong. From those at the bottom of the hierarchy to those who top the student president and council. Even those who try to reach in, to find a heart within her.

It sways in the air as he looks through, picking at one point in the scroll and expanding, the gold light reflecting in his chocolatey brown eyes as he reads. Ah, so he uses archive magic?
“Thank you for the offer, mi amigo.” They look at each other. “I will take you up on that.”
