Summary
Red eyes collected the life that went on around him from his hole, six feet underground. A large man stood above him, hands rummaging through the pockets of his pants. His hair was incredibly blonde. Fairer than light itself. Even more striking about this stranger, when he turned, leaning to perhaps search the inner pockets of the thick, decrepit coat Aesop wore; the immortal noticed the man’s skin was almost lighter than his own. He was certainly pinker than himself, his skin may be near translucent but there was plenty of hot blood beneath it.
This is where they differed. Blood. The thought of something he so desperately needed and craved invoked something feral within the body that had once been human. A sound reverberated from the body lacking in a heartbeat, something halfway between a growl or a whine.
The blonde who had been mere inches away from what he believed to be a dead man jumped, drawing back instantly, his own eyes slowly scraping upward, taking in the sight before him, terrified that his fear would be confirmed as reality. The grave he had broken into was not that of any typical man.
