Shuichi Saihara, a thief who usually works behind the scenes, is forced into the spotlight after Plan A fails. The getaway plan is riskier than Shuichi is used to— and a strange detective better not be the one to mess it up for him.
Basically, a Phantom Thief AU where Shuichi gets to be the charismatic kleptomaniac thief (or at least he tries to be), while Kokichi is the clever, but over-worked, detective who must catch him (or at least he tries to).
