Ignorant, she ignored him. He had procured her an ice cream cone and, quite frankly, the task of getting it into her mouth before it melted in the Salineas summer seemed like the priority, not heeding advice which may very well save her tail one day.(OP is bad at summaries. Summary
I was twenty-four during the events of this tale. I wish I did not feel compelled to put it on paper, in truth. I am still a proud soul, although now I manage to swallow a touch of empathy with my pride. Or I would like to think I do, anyway. Regardless, it pains me in a rather physical manner, being forced to commit these memories to writing. However, I feel that if I do not take such a precaution now, they will fester in my mind. This cancer, by the time it is discovered by doctors, my paranoia finally having drawn its crescendo, will have already executed everything worth salvation.
And so, I write. Write of events which ultimately belong in the past- Although who am I to decide that? This, my wife asks. Seated on the edge of the bed, complaining of the noise of my typing, she groans. Are you confessing your sins or basking in them? God, or his servant?
She is a wise woman. That is not why I married her.

A new law in Piltover prevents Zaun convicts from working topside without citizenship. Luckily for Vi, all she and Caitlyn have to do is take the next step of their relationship and get married, securing Vi a place in Piltover.

"I'll stitch you up when you are back to consciousness" she mumbled, completely wrapped up in the dressing of the wound. So much so that she did not notice the voice that addressed her, at first.
A female voice with a very distinct American accent. The voice sounded exhausted, parched, low, but strong.
"If you're talking to me, you're going to have to speak English sweetheart"
Caitlyn's eyes widened as she looked up from dressing the wound and cerulean eyes found the greyest ones she had ever seen, sending a rush through her that she was unfamiliar with.
Then, Caitlyn spoke.
English this time, laced with a light French accent.
"I told you your wound would need to be stitched up when you were to wake" she simply informed her, ignoring how heart her started pounding yet again.

During the summer of 1943, Caitlyn rescues US Air Force pilot Violet McAdams from a plane wreck in the French country side, and decides to hide her on her farm to allow her wounds to heal properly.
Neither of them in prepared for the romance that follows this foolish, yet courageous decision.
