Peter dies, yes. But not completely. Somehow, someway, he wakes up again. Not with his mentor standing over him; not with the Avengers ready to battle next to him; not with his Aunt May in their small apartment in Queens; not even back on Titan to continue the war against Thanos: if there even is one left to fight.
No, he wakes up choking on a burning, glowing green liquid, trapped with it in a glass pod. When he manages to break out, he has to figure out what happened, where he is, and most importantly, why the hell the world seems to glitch out all the more violently the longer he stays wherever the hell he is.

Idk how to summarize poetry so I guess the big idea/prompt I worked with while writing this was to "connect the poem to nature" and basically try to capture Hawks' last time flying "free" before he had to infiltrate the league.

Hawks has been training to be a hero for nearly as long as he can remember.
It's just, he didn't think his trainers would be so similar to his father.
But then he learns to fly, and he can't blame them for everything they've done when they've given him such freedom.
Except, it's not freedom, is it? He does, after all, still have chains pulling him back down to a reality that does not want him.
Well, he doesn't want reality either. All it's ever been is painful, anyhow.

“Useless freak, when you went missing from school everyone had thought you’d finally up and killed yourself. Sad to know you haven’t. You know- what the fuck!?” He said as he spotted Hawks.
“Heyo! Y’know, stuff like that is technically harassment. Most wouldn’t want a pro hero catching them doing that.” He said in his usual confident tone. The guy's eyes immediately widened, stumbling on an apology as he ran out of the store.
“Good evening sir, are you- holy shit, you’re a war criminal.” He said, backing up as he looked up at the villain, Green. They’ve been trying to catch him for months and he just found him grocery shopping at midnight, injured and in no shape to fight a man who somehow made a serum that disintegrated Overhauls veins from the inside out. Not to mention, said man looked absolutely pissed.

Summary
The ear-piercing scream echoes and Tsunagu barely reacts in time to catch Hawks and the civilian screaming in his arms.
Tsunagu catches hold of the threads of their clothes-- only the woman is wearing denim, none to be found in Hawks’ hero costume, he’d have to remedy that in some way-- and slows their descent. Once on the ground, Tsunagu sees out of the corner of his eye that the civilian stumbles to her feet.
Hawks does not get up.
Or, Hawks gets hit with a de-aging quirk. Tsunagu finds himself in the custody of a five-year-old version of his friend.

This started out pretty OOC for Hawks, at least for how "I" imagine him to be, but it was SO fucking good and little Hawks was so cute and it was so heart wrenching and hilarious and perfectly executed for his adult self asking for help that I just can't help but want MORE. loved this!!!!!!
