Hoseok furrowed his brows as he turned to look out the window, then back down at Yoongi. He wasn't quite sure why Yoongi was mentioning it now, but he'd learned to just go with it. "Looks perfectly sunny to me."
"The weather report said that there's a good chance of rain tonight. It might storm...You probably shouldn't walk home in the middle of a bad storm."
It was supposed to be light rain at best, sometime after nine pm, and it wasn't even past seven yet.
Hoseok smiled. "I guess I'm stuck here for the night."

“Oh, you think I’m undermining you somehow by taking your side?” Yoongi asks, almost appalled.
“You weren’t taking my side. You were making me look weak,” Hoseok snaps. As the words leave his mouth, he can feel his anger burying itself deeper inside him. He wishes he could just grab Yoongi’s collar and do something that he would likely regret.
“Was I?”
“Yes, of course, you were.”
“So, what are you doing now?” Yoongi takes a step closer to him, his chest almost touching Hoseok’s arms. “Chasing after me so you can gain back some of your self-respect?”
“In a way,” Hoseok replies as nonchalantly as he can manage.
Among the four wolf heirs, Hoseok, as a human, stands out like a sore thumb. Entering the most prestigious university alongside the other successors feels the perfect time to finally find his place. Mystery lingers, though, and his petty rivalry with Yoongi gnaws at him until his buried feelings slowly resurface.

Another long pause. Hoseok is still looking up at the unlit fixtures on the ceiling, but he can hear Taehyung take another drink of his beer, short and huffy.
The base of the bottle hits the countertop. He groans.
“One day can’t come soon enough.”
Or, the one where Hoseok and Taehyung wake up one day, ten years in the future, to find that nothing is as they expected it would be, and the answers that will take them back won't be so easily found.
