Summary
Not much is known about Sonic's childhood. Every time the question of where he came from comes up, Sonic either changes the subject or refuses to say anything. Some say his childhood was spent roaming around, never really settling down in one place for too long. Others say that the Hero of Mobius had humble origins and his childhood home was some ordinary village in the middle of nowhere, hence his love for traveling. Whatever the version, it's a chapter of Sonic's life that remains a mystery.
And, honestly, Sonic would prefer to keep that particular chapter of his life closed for good.
But when news of Eggman stirring up trouble on a place called Christmas Island arrives, Sonic is forced to face his past along with his friends who discover that there's more to their cheerful, thrill-seeking, friend than they originally thought.
Memories are relived and demons are unleashed as Sonic and co. soon realize that Eggman might not be the real villain on Christmas Island.

Summary
After the Merge shatters Ninjago into fractured worlds, the ninja are thrown to opposite ends of a realm they barely recognize. Kai crawls out of the Land of Monsters—starved, scarred, and changed. Creatures from the Land of Monsters are leaking into the new world through cracks in reality… and they seem to be hunting Kai specifically.
Determined to find his family before the monsters do, Kai travels across the broken world while hiding the truth of what he survived. But secrets weigh heavy, especially when the team reunites piece by piece and start noticing the tremors beneath his smile.

His biological parents had no place telling him how to feel about the daughter they didn't even know. Kai knew her. They did not.

(A Kai antihero/villain fic in which he stuck to his original convictions and didn’t ever truly become a ninja. Morro comes along and finds an explosive amount of potential in what he believes is a kindred and powerful spirit. Chaos ensues. A lot of mess and explored dynamics, along with a healthy dose of nuancing current character point I either felt were under-discussed or thought would be fun additions. Hope you enjoy!)
