Most of the adjusting here had to be baking-related. Sure, it was strange not to see the sun or sky, but somehow stranger was how she had to mentally adjust the rise times for her favorite loaves of bread, which had served her so faithfully on the surface. Any icing attempts had to be soft and runny because it was too warm for it to ever set properly—not that there was anyone to impress with beautiful plating. And ice cream—

Summary
Achilles hates all gods, and with good reason. So when he's tasked with teaching a careless young godling, he can't help but despise his charge. A mistake during sparring will change all that, though, as Achilles realizes that young Zagreus doesn't deserve his anger.
This lays the foundation for a friendship that will be transmuted once again when Achilles, half-nereid that he is, discovers that shades still feel certain urges. Yet as he and Zagreus inevitably end up together, and Achilles' feelings change even more, guilt and shame wrack him. It will take a miracle--something as impossible as breaking his contract with Hades himself, perhaps--for Achilles to sort out his feelings.
Or to spell it all out plainly, Achilles goes into heat, and Zagreus takes care of his needs, but Achilles is just too much of an idiot to confess he's falling in love.

The dress is really pretty, the neckline low and the material soft looking— Kuroo surprises himself when he starts to picture Kenma in it and feels the back of his neck heat up.
Okay, let’s stop right there.
“Do you like it?” Kuroo asks, quietly, but Kenma still startles at the sound of his voice.
They blink, as if only remembering now Kuroo was with them, and then they’re averting their eyes, shaking their head before starting to walk again. “No, I was just thinking.”
He watches Kenma’s retreating back, eyes the tension in their narrow shoulders, shoulders that would fit perfectly in that little red dress.
Kuroo decides right here and there that he’s not buying the flimsy excuse, but he’s for sure buying that dress.
or Kenma came out as non-binary a year ago and Kuroo has to unlearn years of habits to make sure he never hurts his best friend with his ignorance and clumsiness ever again, while at the same time fiercely trying not to confess at any given second

Patroclus' dark eyes rested thoughtfully on his face. Then, he reached up to cup his husband's cheek and hold him in place while he leaned over and fitted their lips together in a warm kiss.
"Hell, why not. I always wanted kids."
Zagreus, just having escaped from an abusive household, has never known a father's unconditional love. Patroclus and Achilles find they have more than enough of it to spare. Although slowly, Zagreus begins to learn at last that there are people who genuinely care for him. And maybe, just maybe, it's not so wrong after all that one of those people is his childhood friend.
