It all started when he developed a bad habit, one that had caught up to him and caused the cycle of abuse to start.
Garmadon had insisted that it was purely out of goodwill, that he was just teaching him a lesson as parents would but, when it started to get more physical than the usual stern reprimanding; the fear started to kick in and eventually, he was walking on eggshells around his temperamental father and hiding the abuse from his friends and by extension, his other 'family.'
How long will he be able to hide his father's dirty little secret until the truth comes out?

“What are you doing on the floor?” Will asked rather dumbly. As if Hannibal enjoyed being run over by cars in leisure time. Hannibal groaned before giving an unnecessary eye roll.
“I believe you hit me with my own car, Will. After you left me at the house.” Such a dark, hideous tone was in the man’s voice. Will paid it no mind.
If Hannibal could survive a fall off a cliff he could survive this no sweat. Although, Will felt just a little guilty for doing this to him. Just a little.

“Is this a sex thing?” Will stuttered out unintentionally. He shoved a pepper slice into his mouth to shut the stupid thing up.
Hannibal didn’t say anything, which Will nearly took as an affirmation. Instead, he sighed again. “You think so low of me, Will.”
“No, no–” Will swallowed and nearly choked. “I just don’t see the appeal!”
“I could cook for you,”
“No, Hannibal,” Will took in a sharp, quick breath, leaning forward to rest his forehead in his hands and nearly cage himself against the island. “There’s a– ridiculously grand appeal of living with you, in your big house in this nice neighborhood.”
Hannibal turned to him, which Will only knew based on the shifting of the shadows against the countertop. Will did not look up from the granite, because Hannibal may very well derail his thoughts. “I just don’t get why you want me and my dogs to mess that all up."--

And this was born. It's lighthearted, a little cracky, and written in the style of short little snapshots into their developing relationship over the course of many months.
