He stared at it for a moment. “This is probably really dumb.” Frank said, grimacing. He held it out for Percy, the card held between his sturdy fingers. “This is a business card for a cafe in New Rome. They’re looking for a new employee.” Frank smiled nervously. “Bombilo's Coffee Shop has been getting jam-packed. Barely anyone knows about this cafe - the owner literally showed up to the Principia to ask for my help. Maybe it can help you get your mind off things and get to know the people of New Rome.”
Percy stared at Frank, eyes wide. He glanced at the card and then looked up at Frank again.

Pollux's eyes widened, Katie Gardner gasped, and Beckendorf clenched his fists so tightly they began to pale. All Annabeth could do was pray to her mother. Please, she thought on repeat, not him.
"So…" Lee Fletcher started tentatively, "is Percy alive?"
The thought that Percy died in the eruption shook everyone in the room to their core. Not only because he was a great and loyal friend, but because he was supposed to be the one of the great prophecy.
In which following the eruption caused by Percy at Mount Saint Helens, instead of landing on Calypso's Island, Percy is thrown far back into the Labyrinth and captured by the titans. Annabeth must continue on her quest alone while Percy fights for survival.

Honestly, she’s quite fed up with it. She got months of her life stolen, her memories erased, became a (temporary) praetor of Romans against her will to prevent a power-hungry schemer, went on a solo death quest from her mom, and now is plunging into Tartarus alone, hungry, and with absolutely no supplies.
However somehow, in the most unlikely of places, she suddenly finds herself with some mysterious help.
Now if only she could find the cause.

Percy was four years old the first time his dreams led him to his many-great-grandmother’s chambers- a woman long dead yet somehow still seated in front of him, fingers grasping at her hair tightly as she wails about a wooden horse on the beach while her servants look on in pity. He feels the weight of something ancient and heavy settle on his shoulders in that moment.
He was in his 1st grade classroom when his teacher screamed at him for making up lies about gods and monsters and scaring the other children. He was eight when his mother's own visions become too much for her to bear.
He's at Yancy when Grover Underwood finally finds him and says "I believe you" for the first time. And as Percy begins to feel lighter, that ancient weight that has followed him his whole life slowly dissipating, he realizes that being believed can be just as horrifying as being thought mad.

Percy Jackson was an enigma. Even before she’d met him, before she’d realized what he was to Apollo, Artemis had known that he was…different.
