Price always liked the idea of retirement. Of ending his time in the 141 on a high note, to make sure his boys where safe on their own, before he retreated into the shadows, leaving Ghost to be the new captain while new members came in. So when he killed Shepherd and made sure Makarov was done for once for all, personally making sure the Russian was burning in hell, he saw an opening. Gaz and Ghost had long coped with Soap being gone, moved on with a legacy to protect. So he moved somewhere rural, somewhere he pursued a quiet life that was still enough to keep him busy. A small farm, couple animals close to the nearest town where he spent every morning. That’s where he finds you; a small thing, young and untouched.
