He’d had enough—of the shouting, the bruises, the way his stepfather’s voice could turn a room into a battlefield. Another expulsion. Another school cafeteria reduced to rubble. The staff said it was Louis’ fault. Of course they did. Just like the last four schools. Just like every time a creature came clawing through the walls, unseen by anyone but him.
No one believed him. So he ran.
Louis didn’t know his sister had followed. Lottie. The monster chasing Louis chased her too. And this time, it caught her. It took her. It killed her.
Now, Louis is at Camp Half-Blood. A place for people like him. Training. Because he has a mission. He’s going to find the creature that took Lottie. And he’s going to kill it.
He doesn’t need distractions. But his eyes keep drifting, keeps finding him in the crowd.

Louis shoved him off and was pulling his fist back from Harry’s abdomen before he realized his face wasn’t tingling because of the pain.
It pooled out from his cheek, over his face, down his neck and spine. A shiver in the late September night. Heat, sparks - whatever you wanted to fucking call it.

“Come closer,” Louis whispered as he pressed his palm against Harry’s tummy, pulling him into his chest.
The pressure against his stomach, the closeness, Louis’ words, they all made him restless and hot. He could feel Louis’ legs tangling with his, his chest rising with every breath, moving against his back. He could feel all of Louis against him. The shivering didn’t stop, even though Harry didn’t feel cold anymore.
“You good now?” Louis asked, his nose buried into Harry’s curls at his nape. “Warm?”
The breath on the back of his neck left goosebumps in their wake, all along Harry’s spine. He felt his annoyance melt away in Louis’ arms, warmed and held tight that he couldn't even lie.
“Perfect.”Or, a wintery uni au, where they spend time with their friends, play in the snow, drink wine in their dorm and Harry loses at Scrabble. Also, they might have been in love all along.

His mum is going to kill him!
Well, not kill him. Just give him a right telling off, make him admit she'd been right, then try to confine him to his room until they found a hefty Alpha to look after him and rein him in or something.
She wouldn't manage, of course. Harry is only twenty-four and has no inclination to settle down at all, especially not at the behest of an Alpha.
But, as his mum would point out, that was the same stubborn attitude that got him here: in his car, in a thunderstorm, on the side of a forsaken lane of some little countryside town in Yorkshire. His mobile's got no signal, his GPS isn't working, and he's running low on petrol, so he can't even use the heater.
Oh, and most importantly, his car is stuck in the mud, so even if the GPS was working and he knew where to go, he wouldn’t be able to.
He's been in stickier spots; he reminds himself. Way stickier. This is just a bit of rain; it'll blow over. Then Harry will just... well, alright, he isn't entirely sure what to do when the rain stops because he'll still be stuck and lost. But, hey, there won't be any rain, which is something to cheer about.

Harry startled visibly, shaking off his deer in the headlights look and huffing quietly. Louis took a final, lingering glance along his scant frame, except the puppy chub at his hips, and then kept washing his hands with a faint sneer. He expected words, biting and sarcastic, as usual. Instead, he was met with silence. Confused, Louis turned back to him as he dried his hands, ready with a scathing remark. It died on his tongue. Harry's eyes were locked, very deliberately, on his crotch. His crotch, which was still unzipped, and therefore dick on display. Oh fuck.
“My eyes are up here, Styles,” Louis growled, cheeks flushing despite himself as he reached to do up his fly.
“Leave it.” It rasped from Harry's throat, thick and shaky. Louis froze, fingers cupping himself.
“Excuse me?”

"Oh," Harry mutters. A wave of awkward silence washes into the small space as Harry stares down at his lap. You can’t hate the guy that gives you a ride home in the rain, right? Maybe you can, especially considering the level of hate Harry has already reached. So Louis stays quiet, wondering absently how many car rides it would take to get a friendly hug. He estimates around twelve, at least.
OR the one where Louis gets in trouble with Zayn and they’re forced to join the volunteer club. Louis is immediately infatuated the cute guy signing his hour sheets, but Harry has zero patience for annoying jocks. Until that changes.
