Summary
Arthur gave Merlin his cloak thinking only of the warmth it would offer in a snowstorm. He never thought his manservant may be mistaken for him and snatched by bandits. Nor did he expect his dashing rescue of Merlin to turn his world so utterly on his head.
Because the bandits hadn't kidnapped a prince. They'd snatched a sorcerer, and now captivity is the least of anyone's problems.

Summary
It was supposed to be a normal hunt. It was supposed to be a normal hunt.
It was supposed to be this: they get out of the castle so Arthur can be less of a prat, the knights have that weird banter that they always do where it’s ‘we can make fun of him but if anyone else tries, you will be eviscerated,’ and Merlin gets to enjoy being in the woods because it’s nice outside and he doesn’t actually have to do that much. They only tend to hunt small things like rabbits and birds anyway.
It was not supposed to be most of the knights having to stay behind for various reasons, including Gwaine who somehow got swept into helping Leon with a council thing.
It was not supposed to be just him, Arthur, and three random knights.
It was not supposed to end like this.

Summary
It happens when one of the policemen pulls Thomas away from Chris. His fingers clamp around his wrist, right over the scar. Thomas sees the man’s eyes widen, sees realization dawning on him in the matter of a split second, and he looks down, twisting Thomas’ arm sharply to reveal the undeniable evidence etched into his skin.
"Is nothing sacred to you people?"
Or: Thomas decided to roll up his sleeves at Turton's. It makes an already bad night take a turn for the worse.
