A cool, clean feeling swept through Childe, and he suddenly didn’t feel the agony of his body at all.
“It’s you.” His voice cracked, came out barely above a whisper.
The silhouette was a man, hovering a few feet above the ground, hands raised at his sides to steady himself. His face was as pale and bloodless as the moon. In a soft, musical voice he said, “For fuck’s sake—where are your clothes?”

He wonders if Shuichi is one too, especially when he feels the latter slowly sliding his slender hands down Kokichi’s sides, uncertain where to place them. The accidental petting motion—and it has to be an accident, right, because there is no way in hell that Shuichi Saihara is knowingly feeling him up in the middle of the courtyard at three-o’-fucking-clock at night—leaves Kokichi viciously biting at his lips. A second more of this and he will surely start keening, and, in turn, that will kill him, annihilate their tentative partnership and completely lay waste to this bizarre thing that they have going on. If Kokichi responds positively to Shuichi’s cautious, deceptively tender touches, the latter boy will never approach him again. Not unless he is armed with a broom in one hand, and Maki Harukawa in the other.
Patience is a virtue.
Unfortunately for Shuichi Saihara, Kokichi Ouma is neither patient, nor virtuous.

Gojo gets up only an hour into their time there and flits over to Geto like a dimwitted moth would to a vibrant flame, though he'll give credit where it's due—Gojo held out longer than he expected. Shoko watches him go with bored eyes and a barely-there smile, and he pushes another shot of makgeolli over to her.
The best cure for an idle mind is busy hands, so he drinks, and they drink, and they drink—because maybe, maybe if he's full with the right amount of alcohol, he'll forget, and maybe, just maybe, it'll be enough to stop his eyes from drifting over into Mahito's direction.
And really, he's no better than Gojo, but he never claimed to not be a hypocrite.

Realistically, staring at the sun bouncing off the glass of all the buildings in front of them feels moderately safer than accidentally memorizing another brand of Mahito—the one with tied-up hair and sun-bathed arms painted in purples and yellows from last night, draped in another one of his old shirts from his twenties during his embarrassing phase that've been forgotten deep in his closet.
"Congratulations," he says, taking a drag from the cigarette, trying to cultivate some form of inner peace and restraint instead of blurting out all the unnecessary romantic things he can feel clogging up his throat like an old, rusted pipe.
