Summary
They kept talking after that day. At first, it was slow. A few words here and there, a few late night chats about the meaning of life or the existence of fate. Neil didn’t know when the shift happened, but eventually they talked everyday. They progressed from Twitter dms to texting to phone calls. Sometimes, when Neil wasn’t too tired, they’d FaceTime.
Being on camera was definitely a struggle for Neil. For one, he had to mask. It wasn’t that he was embarrassed about being neurodivergent, he wasn’t. It was just a little harder to trust that other people would have a positive reaction. He didn’t want Andrew to treat him any different.
So, he’d mask.

I've read a handful of trans fics, but this one is probably one of my favorites. Definitely mind the triggers as it does have a lot to do with dysphoria, but was overall a wonderful story and I would die for Josephine.

For Andrew, the only downside of being blind is that he can't post his secret poems anymore, but it's just for 100 days, so he can live with that. He doesn't need help at all.
For Neil, life is as good as it can be, but when he finds a discarded ad to help a blind boy to type on his computer, Neil will jump at the opportunity of having a normal meeting; for the first time in forever, no one will stare down at him before talking. Of course, he doesn't imagine that meeting Blind Boy will be anything but normal.
What Andrew doesn't imagine is that with a little help, life can have colors even if his world remains black.

For two years, Andrew has been a ghost, watching over Aaron and Nicky as they attend Palmetto and play exy. During that time, Andrew has been unable to interact with anyone; no one can see him, hear him, or feel him. Until, that is, Neil Josten attends Palmetto as the Foxes' newest recruit and shocks Andrew with the realization that he's not alone anymore.
