"What?" Hank scoffs, turning to Connor, then back to Fowler. "Jeffrey, that's too short fuckin' notice, we just got back to the job. We’re not ready for somethin’ like this, there's no way we're takin' this case."
The Captain just shakes his head. "Hank, don't start. With all this android bullcrap going on, the feds don't want nothing to do with it. Someone's gotta solve this shit, and you and Connor are the only available assets we got right now."Or: Just as things are finally starting to fall into normalcy, Connor's trauma is resurfacing. Especially when he and Hank are put on a pretty gruesome case.

Summary
Hank&Connor flee Detroit overnight after both are driven to the brink of committing suicide during the final days of the revolution. Taking refuge in Canada, they have to learn how to live with each other, help each other heal. Which isn't exactly as heartwarming as it sounds. Hank could fill a novel with his emotional baggage - alcoholism, depression & selfhatred over the death of his son. Connor is quick to catch up to him with his own share of problems- the constant threat of Amanda and another possible hacking attempt by Cyberlife leave him terrified of losing control. He's clueless about the concept of identity, free will and emotions, wants nothing more than to stay a machine. After all, he's only deviated in order to stop his partner from killing himself, not because he'd wanted to be free.
After a few weeks together, things seem to get better. Androids are close to gaining their rights in America. Hank and Connor are starting to form an actual familial bond. The Lieutenant is almost becoming hopeful after years of mindless cynicism. Then Connor starts slipping out of their home at night on a regular basis, believing Hank doesn't notice. He sure does. After all, he used to be the DPDs very best.

Summary
I've decided to participate in Whumptober 2019, since I've gotten an interest in writing fanfictions (specifically Hank and Connor whump)! This is gonna be a blast.
All of the chapters will feature Hank and Connor, no slash, and Connor will be the one getting whumped in all of them. Hank is gonna go through the emotional roller coaster of his life.
All chapters take place in separate universes, because if Connor got continually kidnapped and battered in the same universe, it would start to get pretty old.
I'm only uploading the first chapter in the beginning of October, the rest will be dropped like a bomb near the end of October. So, if you like what you see, stay tuned!

There was something wrong with the whole thing, he’d known that on the road, but it was only laying in the dark later that he managed to put his finger on it.
It wasn’t right that a machine should struggle to survive like that, and it wasn’t right that it should beg for help. But maybe you could put that down to latent programming. After all, androids weren’t cheap to produce, you’d want to program bit of self-preservation, if only so they didn’t go destroying themselves by accident.
No, all of that Hank could buy. It was some weird freaky shit, but he could buy it.
But a machine shouldn’t have fear in its eyes like that.
Or; why did Hank start to change his mind?

After the destruction of Jericho, Connor goes back to Hank's house instead of staying with the deviants. Even with all his expertise and programming, he wasn't prepared for the emotions that come with deviation. Good thing Hank has some experience with them.
