A single, long finger points straight at Gon, and his honey eyes widen in surprise. “Me?”
With a snicker, Killua drops his hand and makes a show out of rolling his eyes. “Yes, you, stupid. What’s your name?”
Gon’s stomach drops then, realizing he’s being chosen as the first victim. Something tells him that Killua is not inclined to give any passes to the people he picks. That’s fine, honestly. The familiar feeling swirls in his gut; Gon’s always more than willing to rise to meet a challenge.
“I’m Gon. Gon Freecss.”
“Gon Freecss, do you pick truth-” Stopping for a dramatic pause (something Gon is quickly realizing is part of Killua’s personality), he grins wickedly, the fire causing a sparkle in his eyes that feels mischievous. “-or dare?”

Everything is monochromatic in Gon’s world until he meets Killua, who doesn’t seem to realize how starved he is of a life with color. This only makes Gon more determined to show him how much there is to see besides gray— if only Killua would stop refusing to touch him.
Killua doesn’t mind a world of shadows; it’s terribly convenient. He’s not about to let one happy-go-lucky heathen of a soulmate change that, fate be damned. And no, he doesn’t particularly care that said soulmate is a bit on the attractive side, or that he keeps nudging closer and offers Killua chocolate.

The constant worrying aside- Killua can’t even begin to narrow down the moment his heart decided that Gon is the only person who can make him feel so much. So intensely. But, he knows that taking the time to get through talking about their feelings (ugh) for each other sounds like the kind of torture he has no endurance for. If Gon wanted to talk this out first, he shouldn’t have pressed Killua against the corner of their kitchen counter and kissed him without a word.

Summary
Killua's rant slowly dies off and Gon glances at him in surprise, thinking that Killua must have forgotten what he was going to say. A devious smile is making its way across Killua's face, eyes suddenly wide; Gon is distantly reminded of the cat that caught the canary and it's terrifying.
"Gon, that's it!" Killua exclaims wildly. "You're my boyfriend! Why didn't I think of it sooner?"
Gon blinks. "I am?" He’s not exactly opposed to the statement, but it is a bit sudden.
"Not literally, stupid. Just for the vacation!"
(Or: Gon begrudgingly agrees to be Killua's fake-boyfriend for three days. He finds himself more charmed with the Zoldycks and his best friend than he would care to admit.)

An unknown Nen ability causes Killua to lose all memory of Gon, and he's extremely suspicious of the story Gon tells him of the life they allegedly share. Love, belonging, a cozy apartment with both of their names on the lease--it's simply too good to be true. For someone like Killua, that sort of life just isn't possible. For someone like Killua, Gon just isn't possible.
