With a roar Jason slammed the door open and waited for an attack to follow. Instead, he was suffocated with the sour scent of spoiled milk and distressed pup and Jason almost collapsed at the whiplash. The thick, rancid scent seeped from the grey-green walls as if the building was made out of sponge. The raw terror pressed down in a way that had Jason’s knees buckling. Scanning the room, he found wrappers of his protein bars littering the floor, water bottles were strewn about and his nest looked like it had been well lived in. There goes my fucking supplies.
Then his eyes locked onto a small mess of black hair and tan skin. Pup.

Summary
Jason tries to sell off his first heat to make ends meet for the upcoming winter. When he’s taken by traffickers instead, he’s sure that’s the end of him—until he’s rescued by a mysterious alpha. There were a lot of things Jason tended to forget to tell his family. Some of it was intentional, like the time he poisoned a teacher with cyanide in his energy drink. Some of it was on accident, like the time he didn’t bring up the fact he could puke on command until he did it to get him and Dick out of a confrontation while undercover.
Forgetting to mention the All-Blades, however, was a total accident. Really, it was.
“So they can only be summoned in the presence of evil?”
“Yeah.”
“So what was the evil in the kitchen? Do we need to consult the Justice League?”
“B,” Jason said gravely as he placed a hand on his adoptive father’s shoulder. “There is no greater evil than unsliced bread."
