Summary
Tommy often wondered what he did wrong to be born during what was essentially the end of the world. The flooding was one of the first main threats to people’s way of life. Cities had been slowly sinking for a while, now—since long before Tommy was born. The apocalypse had been coming for quite some time, accumulating over years and years of environmental decay. Forest fires, melting ice caps, and increasingly intense hurricanes and storms.
They were safe down here in the bunker, at least. At least here he had Wilbur. Wilbur took good care of him. He kept Tommy safe and healthy and alive. Tommy couldn’t imagine what his world would be like without the man looking over him.

Technoblade couldn’t help but laugh at Tommy’s eagerness as he tied Carl up and gave him a few pats. “Alright, Toms, just don’t get lost, got it?” Techno instructed as he took Tommy’s tiny hand in his own, walking with him and keeping hold so Tommy wouldn’t run off.
