After a few minutes of recalling the episode they’d finished playing, Eddie heard tires turn onto the gravel road into the trailer park. A slick, expensive-looking car pulled up in between Eddie and Max’s trailer. Eddie couldn’t explain why he was getting so excited to meet a parent, the excitement of scaring adults was always fun, especially when he was nothing but charming and pleasant to them. He wasn’t expecting the person who exited the front door. This was definitely not the older potbellied man he imagined.
Instead, it was, as Eddie knew him; The King, The Scholar Student, Lady Killer.

Being best friends with someone just so entirely queer is not what Steve had planned for himself, especially back in, what he likes to call, his douchebag days. He has definitely said a couple things that he regrets, his fight with Jonathan coming to mind. He winces at the memory. Bottling up his feelings, and projecting onto Jonathan… not a good look.
He’s admitted this to Robin a few times, enough for her to get excited about having a queer friend, but not enough for her to ask about how he found out in full detail.
