He’s been staring at the door for twenty minutes, instinctively ducking down under the window every time he hears a shuffling noise inside. Phones keep ringing, and a gruff voice keeps answering them, the conversations muffled and short. November is just settling in and the chill in the air is biting this year, its sharp teeth sinking into Dean’s skin like a needle weaving stitches.
The wind curls up around him and he shivers. It’s getting to the point where a worn, thrift store jacket just doesn't cut it anymore. He sighs out through his nose, feels cold air refill it, and lifts a hand. His brittle fingers curl into a fist. He knocks.
When Bobby opens the door, he doesn’t quite manage to hide his surprise in time. Dean feels something sink low in his stomach.
“Dad didn’t tell you I was coming?” he asks, but it’s really more of a statement. A fear put into words.

Summary
Dean was pressed up against the wall, barely holding a vampire away from his neck, both hands on the vamps face as he struggled. Sam didn’t waste a second running in, machete raised high.
He tackled the vampire off of his brother, ignoring Dean’s shout when he saw him. He pinned the vampire down and pressed the knife to his neck.
“Not my brother,” he snarled, but before he could behead the thing, he felt hands on his shoulders. He whipped around to find himself face to face with another vampire, this one looking rightfully pissed. Dean was busy grappling with two other vamps, and Sam took the moment to be pissed at their father again - they were not ready for all this.

Or, Sam gets injured when a hunt goes wrong - thank god big brother Dean's there to save the day.

Summary

Now, a few months into the Revenger's voyage through the cosmos, an accident aboard the Asgardian refugee vessel sends them in for an emergency landing on a planet whose vices feel eerily familiar. The planet's kinship with a certain immortal despot brings back bad memories. Thor has to keep his head, protect his people, and navigate them through the complicated political world - without letting anyone on to their biggest secrets. But he's perhaps not as unaffected by past trauma as he thought, and he starts to feel that he might collapse under the pressure.
Or: Sakaar left unexpected scars and Thor's not sure he can deal with it.

Set between the end of the world at Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity War, this covers the several months spent aboard the Ark. This period bears witness to the struggle of the remaining Asgardians to rebuild some semblance of their lives, the beginning of Thor Odinson's reign, and the time which could be the deciding factor in the fate of the universe - all whilst the threat of Thanos hangs over Loki's head.

“Oh Loki.” Thor says sadly, and he cannot figure out why his brother is looking at him like that, like some precious thing bound to break.
“We’ll be alright.” Loki murmurs, a reassurance for Thor as much as it is for himself. Thor is still looking at him, and Loki can’t tear his eyes away, that ugly choking feeling in him rising in his chest.
“At least you’re with me.” Thor murmurs back, a strong hand coming up to rub Loki’s neck, and Loki allows it, focusing his gaze back on the slowly moving stars, and the expanse of a galaxy far bigger than them.
