Summary
In order to help support and spread the word about his new charity, Jack agrees to go on a cooking contest show that partners professional chefs with amateurs. Jack isn’t expecting Eric to be one of the chefs. Even though they broke up five years ago, Jack still misses him. Being in the kitchen with him again makes Jack remember how their relationship fell apart— but it also makes him remember how good things were and how good they were together.
When they’re paired together for the finale, they cook together like they’ve never been apart. It makes Jack wonder if they can have a second chance. He just hopes Eric wants one too.

So he always finds himself in the strangest places - for example, today, he is on the set of a cooking show. The logo on his chef’s coat says Chopped. The contestant next to him is at least half a foot shorter than Jack, as well as blonde, brown-eyed, smiling, and wringing his hands. Jack does not blush, but this guy is so handsome. Shit.

The biggest problem Bitty had ended up being, of course, that he was dating Jack Zimmermann, and those thoughts, those fears of ruining Jack's career, ruining his life, became very unfortunate realities. He told Jack that, of course, he was okay with keeping the secret; at first, he was. Really, he didn’t come out of the closet just to get shoved right into another one, but it was fine, in the long run. It was for the best for Jack, he knew, that they did. It was completely reasonable. And it was all fine, really, it was. He knew what they had to do.
