Summary
He felt all of Louis’ sentimentality pass through him, and he saw himself through the crimson glass, serenading Louis on stage. How haunting his expressions seemed, flickering constantly through Louis’ hallowed mind as he sent it into Lestat’s. Perhaps they shared the same halls. If they drank long enough, they might run into one another somewhere deep inside of their souls.
(Louis and Lestat coming back together as everything else comes apart.)

Summary
“Wait.” Louis’ hand shoots out to grab his wrist, sending a shiver down Lestat’s spine. It’s the most they’ve touched in years, and his hand clenches in anticipation as he waits for Louis to continue. “Will you tell me more about your past?”
Lestat hesitates. It’s not that he wants to hide anything from Louis, fuelling suspicions that he’s deliberately keeping things from him, but there are memories that are too painful to remember, much less to be spoken out loud. Promises made to keep his knowledge to himself lest he starts a chain reaction of devastating events.
“Please,” Louis says, and his eyes seem to beg for something. “I want to know you. All of you. Will you help me understand?”
Or: Lestat allows himself to be vulnerable. An open and honest conversation ensues.
