On tour in the United States, Jungkook and Taehyung discover that they have mutual feelings for each other, but they struggle to find alone time. One night, they decide to sneak out and have an adventure.
This story takes place roughly in 2018- 2019, but I’ve taken liberties with a lot of details. The tour dates and timeline don’t match the Love Yourself/Speak Yourself tour because sometimes when scenes show up in my head, they take place in very specific locations. Also, Jungkook has his first tattoos, even though this isn't necessarily post-August 2019. I thought about changing things up for the sake of the canon, but I decided to just leave this as I imagined it. Hopefully it's as light and fun to read as it was for me to write!

The Jeon Jeongguk that Taehyung remembers is shy, reserved, and small. A wisp of a boy with eyes too big for his face who looked at Taehyung like the older had hung the stars in the sky. Gentle, kind, all give and no take. Taehyung’s baby.
This Jeon Jeongguk is wildly different from any of the memories Taehyung can manage to conjure up. Broad, strong, tall, his features defined and the fire in his eyes intimidating.
It seems one thing has stayed constant with the younger, however. Jeon Jeongguk still looks at Taehyung as if the entire universe laid in his palms. Taehyung wishes he knew how to process this.
