Kakyoin steps out of the bathroom, her red hair dark and shiny with water. Her steps are smooth and deliberate as she prowls around the edge of Jotaro’s bed before taking a seat. Her gaze traces Jotaro's legs, rising along her thighs to her hips and waist, then up over her breasts and to Jotaro’s face. Jotaro sits up in response, bringing her full size into display, and waits.
"You're very butch, aren't you, Jotaro?" Kakyoin says.

He could feel Jotaro’s pulse through his thumb as it rested against his palm. He felt the fabric of his clothes brush against his skin. He breathed in carefully through his nose. Their relationship was never outright stated, never confirmed, and so it languished in a gray area between friendship and romance. Kakyoin was afraid to bring it up and Jotaro simply wouldn’t.

It’s such a strange thing to say. DIO’s name doesn’t belong in this crowded classroom, stuffed in with Jotaro’s sighing classmates and ancient textbooks. The word doesn’t even belong in Kakyoin’s mouth; the Kakyoin Jotaro knew wasn’t one for trite sentiments. He has to know that Jotaro didn’t kill DIO for him. He didn’t even do it for his mother or his grandfather, even if the two of them were what propelled him towards the fight. He did it for himself.
