Things go very wrong for the heroes. The Resistance make one final effort to send Kitsune, formly known as Shinsou Hitoshi, back to before this ever happened, with one mission: Kill All For One and Shigaraki.
However, something goes terribly wrong. Now, back in his fifteen-year-old body, Hitoshi must find a way to stay under U.A's and the villan's radar until the Kamino incident where he will be able to complete his mission. All he has to do is pretend to be a normal first year Gen Ed student and not draw attention to himself. Should be simple right? But it's been a long time since Kitsune was Hitoshi, some habits are hard to break and he is surrounded by the ghosts of all those he failed.

Night and day were meaningless then, so far from the mouth of the cave that there was no air flow. It was only after Kiri, and after Rin, that he reintegrated with the world enough to learn the date.

So, while they get a chance to prevent a tragic end, they’ll have to do it handicapped—hobbled by a disorienting new perspective and worryingly little information. They’re highly motivated, though. That’s got to count for something.

Derek expects to hire some deadbeat but instead he gets Stiles Stilinski, an intelligent sixteen-year-old who definitely doesn't deserve to be trapped in this system. As he gets to know Stiles, Derek is left wondering how Stiles ended up in this situation, and soon he has questions about the justification of the system as a whole.
He wants to help Stiles, but he can't pay of Stiles' debt for him and he has no power over the system that holds Stiles prisoner.

But still, the fear of making a mistake now was overwhelming.
