Summary
One would think that having the name of one's soulmate appear on one's wrist on one's sixteenth birthday would make matrimony much less complicated. It mostly does not. And not at all for Miss Elizabeth Bennet of Longbourne.
(A deconstruction of the "soulmate identifying mark" trope, using "Pride and Prejudice." Trigger warnings in the tags.)

Summary
25 years after the Reapers were destroyed, Admiral Jane Shepard was finally able to relax. She was still in the military, but in an office rather than a suit of armor. She was happily married for over twenty years, had the two kids and house with a white picket fence that her wife had always wanted, and frequently visits and works with her old crew.
Despite old injuries and the ever-present work of rebuilding after the devastation of the Reapers, she was happy and content. Part of her still missed space and the adrenaline rush of combat, but she'd already died once and come close more times than she could count. There was no need for her to save the galaxy by herself anymore, and even if there was, she was too tired to anyways. In 2211, however, some of her old decisions came back to shatter the peaceful world she'd worked so hard to build.

Summary
Tali'Zorah is a young girl, a small Quarian, in a vast and confusing Galaxy. Her whole life she has been taught to find one thing, work towards one thing, returning to Rannoch, returning home. She knows what she is, and where she belongs, and it is in the Walled Garden, with her people.
And then she falls in with a human, Jane Shepard. Repulsive, strange, alien, at first like all humans, if kind. But something more is there too.

Summary
FemShep's investigation of Cerberus' nefarious activities, while she struggles with questions about her own identity. This story is not super canon-y, but it fits with the Mass Effect 1 story, especially if you aren't too personally attached to your version of the characters. It aims to fill in the gaps and is told from Ash's (third-person limited) POV. It does contain very occasional blood-curdling swears. FemShep/Ashley (slowest burn).

Summary
Miranda Lawson spent two years bringing one person, the famous Commander Shepard, back to life. She'd researched her thoroughly, from her ten (now perfectly proportioned) toes all the way up to her recently rehabilitated brain. At the very least, she shouldn't have been surprised when Shepard woke up and absolutely loathed her.
Garrus knew his best friend was dead. When Shepard proves him wrong, she's not exactly what he was expecting.
Mass Effect 2 re-tell through the eyes of Miranda and Garrus.

Summary
A re-imagination of "It Runs In the Family", hopefully with better writing and a more intriguing plot surrounding the adventures of the famous couple's three unusual daughters. More emotional turmoil and relationship woes between Femshep and Liara, Aethyta's swearing and inappropriate comments, Aria's smugness, and a galaxy gone completely insane.

Summary
Zoey Shepard was built for war. Not for nobility. Not for family.
Raised by the Alliance, forged in battle, she’s only ever known orders, discipline, and loss. Home was never part of the equation. After surviving Elysium she’s thrust into a world she doesn’t understand—in the last place she ever expected.
Thessia is a world of refinement, politics, and power—a battlefield where wars are fought with words as often as weapons. Here, Zoey is no longer just a soldier. She’s a noble. A daughter. A piece in a game she doesn’t know how to play.
There are whispers of secrets buried deep, truths about who she is and what was done to her—truths that could shake not just Zoey, but House T’Soni itself.
And Zoey?
She doesn’t know it yet, but old ghosts don’t stay buried, they don’t just haunt. Some come hunting.
