Holly has gotten pretty good at handling those feelings.
Sometimes something unexpected will cause them to get loud, like when her Dad will say something that he would only ever say to her, or she’ll hear a song on the radio that will take her back to a night with the three of them dancing in the living room, or she’ll think about the future too far and the life she wants and the realisation will hit her like a truck that she’ll have to do all of it without her Mom by her side. There’s nothing she can do about it then, she just has to let it ocean rise again.

Summary
Dean, a mid-forties modern-day cowboy, has ruined his chances at doing rodeo by pity partying too hard after his unnamed ex-wife left him. Riding the mechanical bull at the local bar is the closest he can get to his former glory.
Just before he slides on Larry, he spots a gorgeous stranger with the bluest eyes he's ever seen across the bar. Dean decides he's going home with that man at the end of the night, come hell or high water.
Castiel turns out to be hotter (and odder) in person, and Dean loves every second of it.
