Summary
“He’s not pretty enough to tempt me.”
Steve Harrington overhears Billy Hargrove’s dismissal at a country ball and decides the attractive but arrogant Alpha can go to hell. Apparently Billy thinks the sharp-tongued Omega beneath his notice.
But fate and undeniable attraction have other plans.
One stolen moment. One compromising position. One scandal that binds them together in ways neither wanted nor expected.
A slightly altered Pride and Prejudice Omegaverse AU where pride meets prejudice, desire meets denial, and two people discover, that sometimes the person you least expect is exactly who you need.

Summary
"Something is still in Hawkins, he thinks, lurking down the sides of houses, between the trees, in the undergrowth. Something dark and festering. And he is the only person in the world who knows that it’s there."
A year and a half after the battle of Starcourt, Billy Hargrove is back in Hawkins for the holidays. United by loneliness, he and Steve form an uneasy alliance, which slowly begins to blossom into more during Billy’s subsequent holiday visits. But whilst Billy seems to have moved on from his encounter with the Upside Down, Steve remains rattled, convinced that the apparent peace Hawkins seems to be experiencing is merely the calm before the storm. Something, he knows, is not right, and the danger may be closer to home than even he had expected.

Summary
He’s got a dark blue jacket on, collar popped up. Lightwash jeans. When he turns around and glares out over the lot, squinting against the sun, Billy's guts sink into his seat and through the chassis to the pavement, splatting there like dropped ice cream. And then they swim up nauseatingly into his body again. Sweat prickles his neck, his hair stands up. For no good fucking reason at all. He can't say why and he can't tear his eyes away. Looking at Harrington is making his vision dilate, making little spots cross over everything like ash floating over a fire. He's going nuts.
Harrington’s got a black eye.

Summary
It happens on the shore. In the surf.
-
“Don’t want to push my luck.”
Harrington smiles a winning, beatific, smug prick of a smile. Leans in close and magnetizes Billy into his orbit, gives him a supersized dose of oxygen. Billy is Billy again and he tries to mirror the look. The pleased self-assuredness.
“Then let me push it for you,” he whispers and Billy is nodding, is gone, is fucked in the head.

Summary
Billy tells Steve about Neil, but not before Steve says probably more than he needs to.
-"You really wanna be friends with me?" Billy asks, feeling stupid and full of butterflies. Feels like he's a damn ten year old.
"Everybody needs friends, man," Harrington says, so easy. Like Billy didn't turn him to pulp. "I thought for a while there you might want to be...but then that night happened and. I don't know. Is it stupid? Am I being weird and stupid? Dustin would probably call me stupid, the little idiot."
That makes him laugh for some reason. "You gotta get older friends, Harrington."
"Well. Count this as me trying." And he laughs. Awkward.

Summary
"I don't think you do. I think you wanna stay," Harrington tells him, simple as that. "I want you to stay."
Harrington's hand comes up to brush Billy's hair out of his face. It's an oddly tender gesture, and Billy gapes, staring at Harrington like he's just been handed a single-coloured Rubik's Cube. "What?"
"I want you to stay." Harrington presses in until their hips are meeting and there's no such thing as personal space. He reaches out, pries Billy's boots out of his grip until he can knock them to the floor. They land with a dull thud. "Stay," Steve says. Billy thinks it's supposed to be a question, but it sounds more like a statement.

He squeezes his eyes shut. Can see the pretty picture better that way. Can see the silky, pale skin of Harrington’s back and the dark sweep of his hair as he tosses a look over his shoulder and tells Billy, “Thought you were supposed to be good at this, California."

Summary
He knows what comes next, because he’s pictured this a hundred, a thousand, a hundred thousand times over, in the years since it happened.
In the years since Barb Holland died screaming in the hellish inverse of his backyard pool, yanked under the water by a monster she didn’t see, with her best friend yards away and just out of reach.
He kicks, fights, drags against the water, knowing it’s useless. The grip is too strong, the pull too fast, he’s going back to the Gate no matter what he tries, and- and that’s how it has to happen, because that’s how it’s already happened. Because this, he thinks, he knows, sudden and sure, is the other shoe finally, finally dropping.
This is the wheel turning.
He’s had a debt outstanding, and it has finally come due.

Summary
If it were up to Steve, he never would have gone to college. In fact, he had a perfect life set up back home in Hawkins, if he could say so himself. Unfortunately, Steven Richard Harrington rarely had the final say when it came to aspects of his life. More specifically, aspects of his life that determined how successful his parents were in raising a proper young man- at least, as far as his parent’s social circle was concerned.
...which is how he's ended up an Econ major at Indiana University, forced to live on campus without a car so that he could get the full 'college experience'. He's certain that things can't get any worse- and that's when Robin Buckley enters his dorm room with paperwork claiming that she's his new roommate.
A shortage of dorm space and an on-the-fly lie may just be the first step towards an unlikely friendship.

Summary
“Can you come over?” Steve asks down the phone line, voice strangely flat.
This happens a lot late at night, Steve calling Robin for one reason or another. Sometimes it’s nightmares, or he’s just bored, or he misses her too much to function. She comes over, always, but that’s not what he usually says, how he asks.
He should be saying, “can I pick you up?” with only his tone of voice giving away what he needs. But, that’s not what he asked, and he’s got no tone of voice at all.
“Be there in five,” she says, not waiting for a response before she hangs up the phone, barely pausing to shove her feet into the sneakers she’d left by the front door before bursting into the quiet of a night in the suburbs.
OR: Something's wrong in the Harrington house. Steve calls Robin for help.

Steve was once the epitome of separation anxiety, always keeping tabs on people. The fact that this version of him exists, self-alienating from everybody he loves other than Robin, Dustin, and-
Wait.
“Why face me, then?”
With a tone much too light-hearted for the subject at hand, Steve replies, “The same reason you stayed for coffee.” His grin is so sincere, it’s almost unnerving. “We’re both scared of being alone.”

Summary
When the teacher turns away, Harrington sighs. Slouches in his seat. Tips his head back far enough that their eyes accidentally meet. It's not Harrington who looked away first. It almost never was. In the dream, though, Billy can look and look. And look, and look, and look. The devil doesn't mind about this part of him. Maybe appreciates how useful it is.

Summary
When Steve gets outside, Billy’s up against the bricks at the far end of the bar. His lip is split and his nose is bleeding, and he’s going to have one hell of a black eye, Steve thinks. Billy’s got an arm curled around his ribs, too, and Steve knows enough about the way that Billy looks when he’s hurting to know that means he’s hurting bad.
~
Back in Hawkins for the first time since they broke up, Steve's drawn to trouble in two ways. The first way has to do with monsters. The second way has to do with Billy Hargrove.
