Summary
No one paid much attention when a young man from the Undercity was expelled from Piltover Academy after having been found to have forged his enrollment.
Significantly more notice is paid five years later, however, when one Jayce Talis is expelled after his trial by the Piltover Council. In this world, there is no keen-eyed assistant to the Dean to read through his notebook and to talk him off the ledge—but something draws him towards Zaun, where he gets his ass kicked and is rescued by an unusual man. Against all odds, Jayce manages to find Viktor anyways.

So.” Viktor pulls his fingers nearly all the way out. “Impossibly.” On the plunge back in, he ghosts just over Jayce’s prostate, eliciting a desperate cry from Jayce’s lips. “Close.”
He continues at his previous pace as he says, “But I knew that Jayce Talis was never mine to take. You were the Golden Boy. You belonged to Piltover. To the Council. To Mel Medarda. Not to me.”
Jayce’s eyes are wide and shiny. He lays a hand over Viktor’s, making Viktor’s nonexistent heartbeat jump. “And yet,” Viktor breathes, “here we are. Two parallel lines on top of each other, after all.”

Summary
An unknown, haggard figure was kneeling on the lab floor, gripping what seemed to be a corrupted butterfly shaped hammer. His head was dipped down, his ratty hair hiding his expression from view. Jayce could barely make out the curve of his nose and lips; teeth exposed in a snarl as he muttered to himself just loud enough to hear over the hum.
“I refuse to fail.”
His gruff, raw voice had an animalistic quality as he spat the words out as if trying to reassure himself. It was then Jayce acknowledged his clothing–a formerly pristine white jacket covered in grime and a torn gray undershirt with dull brown slacks. An eerily familiar brace wrapped around his left leg, made of decaying yet somehow supportive metal. He looked like he had just crawled out of hell and survived.
“Who…” Jayce began to question before his eyes fell on the crest resting on the man's shoulders.
That was the Talis House crest.
Suddenly, the man lifted his head. Dark brown locks fell away to reveal haunted honey eyes that stared right through him.
“I won't fail.”

He fisted Jayce’s hair and pulled them both up to standing, wrapped his arms around Jayce’s neck, pressed himself close, and practically inhaled Jayce. It was a kiss of tears and soft chuckles intermingled between heavy groans and promised pleasure once they left the lab.

Viktor doesn't care about his birthday. It's an already arbitrary day made furtherly trivial by the fact that it wasn't really his birthday—the orphanage he'd been dumped at never had a proper DOB to assign to him, so it was really just the anniversary of the day his creator decided they didn't want him anymore. He wasn't one for celebrations, anyway.
His partner Jayce, on the other hand, loves any excuse for conviviality. Viktor assumes that he'll be able to escape any forced ceremony since they've been forced into long-distance over the last year, but the package he arrives home to shipped from Jayce's address—alongside the incessant text inquiries he'd gotten all day pestering him about when he'd be home—prove him wrong on that front.
Viktor promptly discovers that his stance on birthdays might need reevaluation.

Summary
“Viktor! You came!” The joy in Jayce’s voice was almost enough to wince at.
“I promised I was coming,” Viktor replied. His tone was apologetic as he added, “preparations took… ehh, a bit of time.”
Jayce could tell why. Viktor’s face was framed in a thin layer of make-up, brushed on enough to give the impression of a clean slate. It brought a tinge of red to his cheekbones and a bold to his eyes that Jayce had trouble tearing his stare away from.
“Well, you look…” Jayce hesitated for a moment, trying to place the word. “...You look good.”
Or, Jayce invites Viktor to a gala, Viktor shows up horribly late, and they decide to take the final dance. (and maybe kiss at the end)

Summary
Something flashes in those strange eyes and Jayce shifts back, alarmed, when the mage begins to peel his robe off and get into the bed.
“What the hell are you doing?” he asks, but his traitorous body betrays him, heart rate already slowing at the prospect of Viktor—whatever version of Viktor this is—being in bed with him.
“You need to sleep,” he says simply. “And this will help.”
Well. Alright then.
It’s not like he’s wrong.
After Viktor accidentally sends Jayce to the mage's timeline, Jayce has trouble sleeping. The mage, needing him to survive long enough to get him back to his timeline, begins to share his bed in order to help him sleep, and things take a decidedly heated turn.

He nodded towards the corner of the ceiling, where one of several small CCTV cameras sat. “But if you’re going to incinerate me, could you at least do it in a blind spot? I don’t exactly want my charred corpse caught in 4k.”
Flambae glanced around at the cameras, puffing out a warm, steady breath. He met Robert’s gaze again, hot embers burning beneath his glare. Flambae’s other fist curled, trembling slightly.
Robert licked his lips and braced, fully expecting to have to come up with a brand new excuse tomorrow for why his nose was busted this time around.
Instead, his eyes narrowed when Flambae’s glare — for the smallest, most imperceptibly short moment — flitted down, tracking the motion. Flambae’s gaze snapped back up, looking caught.
Robert blinked, eyes widening. His mouth fell open, the corner of his mouth ticking up just a fraction. “Oh.”

“I can’t…I can’t let you do that,” Jayce slurs as he grips that strange, mutated hammer, and through Salo’s eyes, Viktor watches Jayce sway, sees him flinch and then his entire form seems to glitch right before he collapses, falling to the ground with a damning thud.
Panic, foreign to him these days and strong, cuts through his body and he sees Sky turn to him with a startled look on her face out of the corner of his eye.
“Salo,” Viktor says, ignoring her questioning look. “Put the canister down and bring Jayce to me.”
Jayce, sick with infection from the wound on his leg, passes out before he can kill Salo. In this timeline, Viktor takes Jayce in. In this timeline, Jayce needs Viktor to survive.
