The board is stacked against them, but Ellery Courin never flinches. Her voice, her quick rapier; all of it carries them inexorably forward, despite complaints and moments of weakness and flat-out exhaustion. Ellery carries them through. Sometimes it is gentle, sometimes she cajoles and pokes and prods, and one memorable time wrestled Lae’zel into submission when the Githyanki got a little too mouthy.
Little wonder they’re all half in love with her.

With ambition responsibly downsized and hubris placed on a strict diet, he determines there are only three things he truly requires in order to restore balance to his life.
Rebuild his tower. See his mother. And...Romance you, the actual love of his life.
The first two are straightforward.
The third is complicated by two minor issues: you are impressively oblivious, and you are absolutely determined not to fall for him again. Undeterred, Gale resolves to approach the situation with patience, sincerity, and perhaps breakfast. After all, he has survived gods, Netherese artifacts, and his own poor decision-making.
Surely he can survive courting you.

The Bardweave Trilogy is a semi-canonical, story-driven, angsty, slow-build-to-the-smut, romance with healthy doses of comedy and ensemble dynamics. PoV is half and half between Tav and Gale, with flashbacks, as well as lots of attention paid to non-ship characters and their interconnecting dynamics. Check the dang tags. <3

After the incident, Gale stays with her and they share a sweet moment.
