"What!?" Ray squeaks, his shoulders tense when he felt the burn of the flush on his cheeks.
They smile over at Ray, tapping their watch in his direction. "Your DNA is telling me you are a human from earth, Is that not correct?"
"N-No… That is definitely correct."
They hum, satisfied. "My watch is working as intended then, Good!"

Too big for anyone else in the band to wear but tight and fitting on Ray’s body, showing his curves and muscles every time he would shred. The only shirt he would refuse to share no matter how much the guys begged and begged him to borrow whenever they ran out of clothes.

“Y’know, smoking's bad for you.” Ray's voice was much clearer here than in Gerard's fuzzy memories of when they'd first properly met.
“I know.” Gerard said, breathing out the smoke, turning to look at the man standing next to him.
Ray had a hood pulled over his head from a windbreaker that he had on, and in the dim light Gerard could see the top of his guitar case that was slung over his back. He could also see his smile pulled a bit too wide, and could barely see his eyes darting around like he didn’t want to look directly at Gerard.

The first few pages of Illi's book felt strange. Almost as strange as a little caterpillar's before it grows up into a beautiful butterfly.
But not everyone can accept that. Sometimes, caterpillars are expected to grow up into moths. And sometimes, it’s the ones closest to you that can’t accept the choices you’ve made.
