Lucy questions momentarily if maybe this isn’t the best idea — if adding alcohol to the intensity of the anger and grief and resentment that is still radiating off of him will result in anything other than regret.
But again, she opts to stay quiet. If this is what he needs in this moment, this is what she will give him.

Setting is late 1800's on a fictional Island off the coast of Korea where a Roman Catholic community has been established. Ga On develops conflicting feelings for the mysterious Kang Yo Han but wants to save his soul. Kang Yo Han is attracted to the young priest and wishes to protect him from the church he sees as increasingly corrupt. All the usual allies and villains appear and there are some parallels to The Devil Judge.
